La Posada was born about thirty years ago, thanks to Brigitte and Gilbert Signoret who undertook major work in this 300-year-old farmhouse. Brigitte always grew up in Saint-Paul-sur-Ubaye, while Gilbert was born and raised in Mexico, to French parents: his father was one of the people from the valley who immigrated to Mexico. After meeting Brigitte, he returned to his father's country and opened La Posada, which means "inn" in Mexican. They ran guest rooms and a restaurant with Mexican cuisine, as well as a gîte. The story continues, Benjamin their son, Amandine his partner and their three children continue the adventure!
